This Weekend in Nelson County

This weekend will show visitors that Nelson County and Wintergreen Resort has a variety of events and amenities to offer the entire family. Here are just a few suggestions to fill your weekend:

The Farmer’s Markets on Saturday: The Nellysford Farmer’s Market is open from 8AM-Noon and the Schuyler Farmer’s Market is open 8:30-12:30. Stop by either for a selection of local produce, baked goods, crafts, coffee and live music in Nellysford.

Wineries and Breweries Open this Weekend: Most of Nelson County’s wineries and breweries are open this weekend for visitors.

Live Music: the Nicholson Brothers are playing at the Devil’s Backbone Brewery on June 26th at 9PM. Have dinner on the patio and then listen to some great live music while enjoying a brew.

Mornings in the Mountains: Take a guided hike on one of Wintergreen’s marked trails. The hike is on Saturday morning and leaves from the Wintergreen Nature Foundation (fee). Call 434-325-7473 for all the details.

Go Hiking: Stop by the Wintergreen Resort Premier Properties office and pick up a free hiking map of WTG’s 32+ miles of trails

The Hamner Theatre: Attend “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Hamner Theatre this weekend. Call 434-361-1999 for details and reservations.
