11/26: Dropping Temperatures: We will see dropping temperatures in Nelson County this weekend. After some rain showers today, skies will clear. If you are a fan of snow, the dropping temperatures will let Wintergreen begin to make snow in the near future. No natural snow in the forecast yet, but we are watching the weather for ski season. Ski & Ride Season Count Down: Ski & Ride Season Opens on December 10th (weather permitting) Yes! Wintergreen will have Ice Skating this season. Ice Skating will open, weather permitting, on December 18th. Wintergreen will have ice skate rentals too.

Q: Are there still reservations available for Christmas in Wintergreen?
A: Christmas and New Year’s is a very popular time in Wintergreen. Book your reservations NOW. I checked last week, and there were a few reservations available. Check out www.WintergreenResort.com and www.VRBO.com for options.

Q: When will Ridgely’s Fun Park open for the Winter season?
A: Ridgely’s is usually open in time for Christmas week. (always depends on the weather) Ridgely’s Fun Park is a snow park for kids that has snow forts, a mini tubing area and much more. This is a great activity for small kids.

Q: When will Wintergreen light their courtyard Christmas tree?
A: Tonight! Plus, Wintergreen is fully decorated for Christmas already. If you are looking for a great place for a family photo, check out the large Christmas tree in the Mountain Inn.

Q: Where do locals get their weather?
A: Locals visit www.NelsonCountyLife.com for their updated weather. Scroll down to the bottom of the home page for the extended forecast and also listen to Tommy’s audio weather forecast. Remember, the temperatures in the mountains are always at least 10 degrees colder than our valley.

Q: Does Wintergreen have Seasonal Ski Passes?

Q: Can Nelson County wineries ship wine?
