Real Estate Today: Open House Guide: Stop by some Wintergreen Resort open houses this weekend. Pick up an Open House Guide at the Mountain Inn this weekend, available on the kiosk and at the Wintergreen Resort Premier Properties office.

Wine Festivals Today

There are two large wine festivals in the region today. If you want to taste and purchase Central Virginia wine, both of these festivals provide the opportunity to sample some of Virginia’s finest wines.

Summer Solstice Wine & Farm Festival

This festival is on both Saturday and Sunday and combines talent from Nelson County and Amherst County. This new festival is being held at the Amherst Estate Vineyard, near the intersection of Rt. 151 and US 29.

Wintergreen Wine Festival

Many visit Wintergreen Resort each Summer for the annual Summer Wine Festival to benefit the Wintergreen Performing Arts. This year’s event is June 20th at the Evans Center behind the Mountain Inn. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $20 and includes a souvenir glass. (Food tastings additional charge)
Wine tastings from Virginia’s very best wineries will be offered throughout the day! Enjoy an afternoon of wine, jazz, light fare and the cool mountain air.
