Kick-Off Summer with June Activities
Nelson County kicks off Summer with many activities on the calendar.
Every Saturday: The Nellysford Farmer’s Market opens at 8AM and the Schuyler Farmer’s Market opens at 8:30AM. Get there before noon to shop local and enjoy the flavors of Nelson County
Sunday, June 7th: Mornings in the Mountains: Enjoy a hike led by a Wintergreen Nature Foundation naturalist. Register by calling 434-325-8169. (fee)
Saturday, June 13th: Live Music at Cardinal Point…Enjoy Jan Smith and the Honeybirds for country and bluegrass music. Admission is $10 for adults or bring 5 non-perishable food items and get in FREE. 4PM-8PM
Saturday, June 13th: Starry Nights at Veritas Winery…music, wine and bring your picnic baskets. 7PM-11PM. Fee includes wine glass and music.
Sunday, June 14th: Piney Mountain Music Festival…At the Dodd Cabin in Beech Grove. Music from the Piney River Boys, James River Cut-Ups, Skyline Cloggers and more. 1PM-7PM. ($10)
Sat/Sun, June 20-21: Amherst-Nelson County Summer Solstice Wine & Farm Festival. At Amherst E
